What we have here is a *really* fast car – so it deserves its very own video we reckon. After months of planning, and a few lucky breaks, we were asked to photograph a genuine McLaren Formula One race car. This particular model is the MP4-26 – as it says on the build plate. It was raced as part of the 2011 season, and seen here in 2021 livery to match the more current cars racing around the world. No matter what the car, no matter how valuable, no matter how large or how low to the ground it is – we can photograph it here at F Zero Studios.

When you have spent hundreds or even thousands of hours building, pampering, modifying, restoring a beautiful automobile you want to be able to preserve the memories – and that’s exactly what we do here at F Zero Studios. We not only photograph your entire car, we also focus in on all the details, all the work you’ve done, all the unique parts you’ve ordered or had made to make your car unique amongst every other car of its type. We get it – you have your pride and joy, your wheels. Simon chose his car even before he had a licence, he’d wanted a DeLorean ever since he was a kid watching Back To The Future and many years ago was privileged enough to be able to purchase this beautifully stock example and then lovingly restore it. Simon and his DeLorean are inseparable. Selling it is unthinkable. Simon wanted to create a portrait of his pride and joy, something to hang on the wall and proudly show off, so we worked together to discuss different ways of photographing the car, did mock ups of how the final photo would look and arranged an evening to make it a reality. And this is the result.

Bikes are all about freedom, freedom of expression, freedom of not driving around in a cage, freedom of the open road. Mitch may be young, but he had his heart set on a laid back cruiser rather than a sports bike and saved up to be able to afford this magnificent Kawasaki – one of only 5 in Australia at the time we made this photo for him – and it was literally brand new here – less than 100km on the clock. You could not wipe the smile off Mitch’s face as we meticulously set up lighting and photographed his brand new pride and joy in as new condition.

Some days are simply better than others. They just are. The day the genuine Bathurst winning Holden VL Group A Walkinshaw Commodore rolls up at the studio is unquestionably one of those days. This is the actual car in which Allan Grice and Win Percy put the first Bathurst win on the board for Holden Racing Team, it was the first of a record 9 wins on the mountain for the team. Needless to say, we treated the ‘Batmobile’ VL, which beat the turbo Nissan ‘Godzillas’ with kid gloves as we moved it around the studio to get all the best angles photographed.
